The Associate will own the financial planning process from discovery to implementation, including:

  • Lead the client discovery process to gather all necessary financial data and clarify client objectives.
  • Model and analyze complex financial scenarios using planning software to identify strategic opportunities.
  • Develop and articulate bespoke recommendations in tax, estate, insurance, and investment planning.
  • Collaborate with the firm's in-house Tax & Estate Planning specialists to architect integrated solutions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients on all aspects of their wealth plan.
  • Oversee the implementation of all financial planning strategies.
  • Prepare and present clear, concise summaries and reports for client meetings.
  • Continuously refine and scale the financial planning process, tools, and technology to enhance the client experience and drive practice efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of work experience in comprehensive wealth planning or financial advisory role.
  • Advanced proficiency with financial planning software and Microsoft Excel for complex modeling.
  • Superior analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to develop clear solutions for complex financial challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of presenting complex information with clarity and confidence.
  • A proactive, self-motivated professional who works with precision, both independently and as a vital member of a small, integrated team.

Education

  • University or college degree
  • Life Insurance License (LLQP)
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designation
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH)
