LNG Business Development Manager (Full Time) - Edmonton, AB

Position Overview

We are seeking a results-driven and customer-focused Business Development Representative (BDR) to join Linde, the leading provider of industrial gases and related solutions. The BDR will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities (+ contracts), building strong relationships with prospective and existing customers, and driving revenue growth within assigned territories and / or industry sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, industry events, and digital channels.
  • Customer Engagement: Conduct needs assessments to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate gas solutions and services.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, customer activity, and competitor movements to inform strategy and uncover opportunities.
  • Sales Process Management: Qualify leads, schedule meetings, deliver sales presentations, and assist in preparing proposals and quotations in coordination with technical and pricing teams.
  • CRM Utilization: Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline updates using the company’s CRM platform.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including operations, logistics, and technical support, to ensure successful customer onboarding and satisfaction.
  • Territory Development: Manage and build a defined territory, meeting or exceeding sales targets and performance metrics.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company's industrial gases portfolio, including oxygen, nitrogen, argon, carbon dioxide, specialty gases, and supply systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales or business development, preferably in the industrial gases, chemicals, or manufacturing sector.
  • 10+ years of experience in fuels industry.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel as needed within the assigned territory.
