Our client, a growing SaaS company, is looking for a Data Analytics/BI Engineer to join their remote team in Canada. You’ll design, develop and optimize robust analytics systems and data architectures. This role requires deep, hands-on expertise developing analytics and reporting in Snowflake and Google Looker, with a strong command of complex SQL and data architecture. Proficiency in Python and strong architectural capabilities to design scalable and high-performance systems are essential. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in both development and architecture and is eager to define the future of analytics platforms. Reporting to the CTO, you’ll work hands-on as an individual contributor with opportunities for growth as the company continues to scale, and work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and leadership. Data Analytics/BI Engineer (5+ yrs Snowflake, Looker, SQL exp. req.) Responsibilities

• Architect and build scalable data pipelines and analytics

• Develop and manage data warehouses, with an emphasis on Snowflake

• Create and maintain data models and dynamic dashboards in Looker

• Write and maintain complex SQL queries for large, real-time datasets

• Develop scalable ELT pipelines using Python

• Create dashboards and visualizations that provide business insights

• Integrate data from multiple sources for consistent analytics

• Optimize system performance for reliability and speed

• Partner cross-functionally to define KPIs and BI architecture

• Document system design, data flows, and integration points

Data Analytics/BI Engineer (5+ yrs Snowflake, Looker, SQL exp. req.) Qualifications

• 5+ years of Snowflake (or Redshift, BigQuery) experience required

• 5+ years of advanced SQL (joins, window functions, CTEs) experience required

• 5+ years of Python for analytics, automation, and pipeline development experience required

• 4+ years of Google Looker or similar BI tools experience required

• Experience designing, building and implementing ETL/ELT workflows required

• Familiar with event-based data and real-time pipelines required

• Experience in a startup environment with end-to-end solution development required
