Join Our Team as a Control Systems Engineer!


We are on the lookout for a skilled Control Systems Engineer to work within project teams, focusing on the development of functional systems solutions for aeroderivative gas turbine control. This role is essential in defining design requirements and ensuring seamless integration across various components and systems while considering human-machine interactions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture and define requirements
  • Develop concepts and specifications
  • Conduct risk analysis and management
  • Oversee and/or conduct verification and validation processes
  • interdisciplinary integration of components into the overall product
  • Manage interfaces, optimize systems and standardize solutions
  • Proactively address obsolescence


You will also support engine tests during development and production phases, as well as provide in-service support for our existing fleet. Depending on your experience, you may have the opportunity to lead integrated project teams.

What You Bring   


·        Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in systems, electrical, or mechanical engineering.

·        Experience: 5-10 years in electrical engineering systems for power generation, conversion, and distribution, or in electrohydraulic/electromechanical systems.

·        Technical Skills: The ideal candidate should be proficient in principles of measurement and actuation systems, electromagnetic compatibility, systems modeling tools (such as Matlab Simulink) and systems engineering techniques (such as QFD, V&V, risk analysis and RCA), while also possessing knowledge of gas turbine engine control, hazardous area certification, industrial control systems, communication protocols, and functional safety.

·        Project Management: Experience in technical project management, gated design processes, and SCRUM teams; familiarity with gas turbine engine control and hazardous area certification.

·        Personal Attributes: The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong eagerness to learn and explore new fields, coupled with a creative mindset for developing innovative solutions. They must possess a high level of autonomy, a commitment to stakeholder management, and a passion for personal development and continuous improvement, while adhering to lean methodology and a minimum viable product mindset.

·        Communication & Language: Fluent in French and English, eligible for membership in the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec; excellent time management and communication skills. This position is in a French-speaking environment but requires fluency in English to comprehend documentation and technical terms from international sources, and to communicate with customers, suppliers, or international colleagues.
