THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you passionate about shaping corporate narratives and amplifying executive voices at the highest level? OpenText is seeking a strategic and proactive Senior Manager of Corporate Communications to support key corporate functions—Finance, HR, IT, Marketing, and the Office of the CEO—with a particular focus on building executive visibility for our Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Digital/CIO (CDO/CIO).

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing and executing integrated external and internal communications programs that elevate OpenText’s reputation, enhance leadership visibility, and align with business priorities. You’ll work cross-functionally with stakeholders across the organization—including executive leadership, people leaders, HR, and corporate functions—to ensure clear, consistent, and compelling messaging that engages both external and internal audiences.

You will be a trusted advisor and hands-on contributor who knows how to turn corporate and executive strategies into narratives that resonate across media, industry channels, and internal platforms. This role reports to the Director, Corporate Communications and offers the opportunity to make a visible impact in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.

YOU ARE GREAT AT

  • Creating and executing corporate communications and executive visibility strategies, including media relations, messaging, and content development.
  • Designing and implementing internal communications programs that foster employee engagement, culture, and alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and supporting media outreach and internal communications in partnership with our external agency and internal teams.
  • Building and managing communication plans that align to the goals of Finance, HR, IT, Marketing, and the Office of the CEO.
  • Developing high-quality content including executive messaging, press releases, talking points, internal emails, intranet articles, blogs, and thought leadership.
  • Managing multiple priorities, navigating tight deadlines, and communicating effectively with senior leadership.
  • Bringing a sharp editorial eye, strategic mindset, and a collaborative spirit to cross-functional projects.
  • Support and lead internal communication initiatives, including employee campaigns, functional updates, organizational announcements, and change communications.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to internal stakeholders and manage day-to-day communications planning and execution across functions.
  • Identify and elevate compelling corporate stories, customer narratives, and internal milestones that reinforce OpenText’s leadership position.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners including PR agencies, employee communications, investor relations, and digital/social teams.
  • Support OpenText’s overall corporate brand and culture narrative by ensuring alignment and consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Measure and report communications impact to senior leadership, with a focus on outcomes, engagement, and continuous improvement.

What You Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, preferably in a complex, matrixed environment or global tech company.
  • Demonstrated success in executive communications, internal communications, and/or external media engagement.
  • Experience collaborating with C-level leaders and translating complex business topics into accessible messaging.
  • Skilled writer, editor, and storyteller with strong attention to detail.
