THE ROLE

As an Inventory Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting warehouse operations for a highly reputable third-party logistics (3PL) provider located in Brantford, ON. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity ideal for individuals with a strong attention to detail and a passion for accuracy in inventory control.

You’ll support the Inventory Coordinator by executing inventory audits, investigating stock discrepancies, and ensuring the highest level of accuracy in product storage, movement, and reporting. Your ability to identify root causes, work cross-functionally, and follow through with timely resolutions will be critical in maintaining the integrity of the supply chain and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct root cause analysis for inventory issues in the warehouse
  • Investigate and resolve misplaced inventory, missing pallets, and count discrepancies within 24 hours
  • Execute full-cycle inventory audits to meet a 99.9% accuracy standard
  • Perform inventory adjustments with clear and timely internal communication
  • Assist with database controls to maintain inventory accuracy and proper stock rotation
  • Support and improve damage reporting processes to reduce product loss
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide on-demand inventory reports
  • Accurately process HOLD and RELEASE requests from customers
  • Provide high-level support and effective communication to internal departments
  • Maintain compliance with SQF standards and health & safety guidelines

Requirements

  • College diploma in Logistics Management or related field an asset
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in inventory control, preferably in a 3PL environment
  • Strong problem-solving and mathematical skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Experience with Warehouse & Inventory Management Systems and MS Excel
  • Comfortable working independently and within a collaborative team
  • Ability to travel between local warehouse facilities in Brantford
  • Physically fit to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Willing to work in cold or freezer environments (-20°C) when required
  • Reach Truck certified or willingness to be trained on equipment
  • Flexibility to work weekends for inventory projects as needed
