Are you interested in a career in Childcare?
We have an amazing opportunity to take on a Modern Apprentice for an excellent Out of school care setting in Hamilton!
Working with children really is a career like no other. You have the chance to shape a young person's life, inspire their creative thought process and teach them skills they will use forever. Completing a Modern Apprenticeship will equip you with the skills and knowledge required to become a qualified Practitioner.
The successful applicants will be assisting senior practitioners and training under general direction of the manager. This is a full time position.
In a Typical Day You Will Be Involved In
You’ll have a head start in this vacancy if you’ve completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in a related field. We’ll need you to provide evidence of your qualification and show you gained the relevant skills from your placement
You should demonstrate a desire to work within the Childcare sector and have some form of relatable experience. Ideally you will have one National 5 qualification including English. However, we understand that not everyone will have achieved this level of qualification and will take this into consideration.
Anyone who has completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in Childcare will get direct access to the interview stage.

- setting up the play environment for a fun filled day of learning
- Implement planned learning experiences in line with the Curriculum for Excellence
- Keep children safe and well at all times
- Assist with snack, lunches and dinners
- Play outdoors in all weather!
