Digital Architect:

On behalf of our Public Sector client, Procom is searching for a Digital Architect for a contract role. This position is a primarily remote position with occasional days onsite at our client’s Edmonton office.


Digital Architect - Job Description:

The Government client is transforming its digital services to deliver simpler, more efficient, and better services for its citizens. This project involves service innovation, program review, and digital transformation projects across the GoA, focusing on enhancing user experiences and leveraging modern digital practices.


Digital Architect - Responsibilities:

• Lead the solution architecture of digital services, ensuring a citizen-centered design and agile software approach
• Uncover existing system context and provide recommendations for technical discovery and feasibility
• Oversee the iterative delivery of solutions and analyze impacts, exposure, and risk related to solution design
• Facilitate frequent delivery of products to create the target architecture
• Guide the team in leveraging common components and capabilities of other digital services
• Provide mentorship and coaching to the product team and review code changes
  
  
  

Digital Architect - Mandatory Skills:

• Strong technical understanding of current and emerging technologies
• Experience with human-centered design approaches and agile methodology
• Ability to oversee software architecture and align services to a common architecture vision
• Strong business acumen and project leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to perform development work if needed
• Experience in analyzing impacts, exposure, and risk in solution design
  
  
  

Digital Architect – Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience in the public sector
• Familiarity with the Government of Alberta's digital services
• Experience with modern data practices
• Knowledge of security clearance processes
• Ability to travel within Alberta for field research
  
  
  

Digital Architect – Assignment Length:

This is a 12-month contract position.
