We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our Finance Team at Westcourt Capital. This dynamic role will involve managing financial records for both our corporate entity and our family office, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience in both environments and possess strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Corporate Responsibilities:

  • Help maintain accurate financial records for corporate accounts, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Managing and processing company invoices and ensuring timely payments to suppliers and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
  • Assist with coordination of annual audits and tax filings.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks as required to support the finance department

Family Office Responsibilities

  • Help maintain and manage the family's financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger transactions, and bank reconciliations.
  • Help maintain and track family’s investments, including ACB of underlying assets
  • Assist in preparing periodic financial statements and reports for family meetings and investment reviews.
  • Support tax preparation and filings as needed
  • Help handle expense reimbursements and maintain accurate records of family expenditures.
  • Assist with any ad hoc financial projects or analysis as requested by family members.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive family and corporate information.

Skills & Qualifications

  • A university or college degree specializing in business, finance or accounting;
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper in a similar role, with a strong understanding of both corporate accounting and family office operations.
  • Strong written and communication skills;
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality; ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational abilities.
