Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Event staff is responsible for assisting with the coordination of all logistics associated with the theatre and event productions.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, ushering, box office support, stage management and technical operations (lighting and sound). The incumbent may be required to attend production meetings in relation to specific events. The incumbent will assist with any required pre-event set up and event closing, and fulfill all required tasks as assigned by their supervisors. They will also complete any required training, and conduct tasks in accordance with this training.
Education:
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma
Experience:
- Candidates with a background in theatre and or previous Usher or customer service experience preferred
Skills, Abilities & Expertise:
- Ability to maintain a positive, outgoing attitude with genuine customer service orientation
- Detail-oriented with an ability to function with high levels of accuracy
- Ability to work within a flexible schedule to accommodate the University’s events and activities
- Ability to interact professionally with students, staff, faculty, and other members of the University community
- Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of a team
- Strong verbal communications skills
