Job Description

On behalf of our well-established client in the industrial automation industry, we are currently seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Associate to join the team and fosters meaningful partnerships that fuel talent and drive organizational growth.

Position: Talent Acquisition Associate

Location: Mississauga, Ontario

Employment Status: Full time & Permanent

Working Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm (5 days in the office)

Compensation: CAN$55,000-60,000 per year depending on experience

Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, 2-3 years experience in talent acquisition, proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems, and the ability to devise sourcing strategies for potential applicants. This role requires a candidate with excellent interpersonal skills as you’ll often be asked to work closely with others across different departments.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and attending campus recruitment events and presentations at target universities for large student audiences
  • Acting as an ambassador of the firm, articulating our corporate culture, purpose, values, and student opportunities
  • Early identifying high performing students and building relationships with them to aid hiring conversion
  • Deliver end-to-end search on active roles, including developing job-based recruitment strategies
  • Perform phone screens, shortlists of candidates, conduct and lead the interview process, manage debriefs discussions, and offer processes
  • Keep records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork, to share with managers
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs in different areas and departments
  • Source applicants through online channels, such as LinkedIn and other professional networks
  • Create job descriptions and interview questions that reflect the requirements for each position
  • Use a variety of proactive sourcing methods to continually build and maintain a talent pool – both now and for the future.

Minimum Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a full-cycle recruiting role
  • Extensive experience using LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Experience working with hiring teams across various departments and working on various roles
  • Communicate effectively at all levels in the organization
  • Good knowledge of current HR related provincial legislation and regulations
  • Strong sourcing, networking, and lead generation skills to locate candidates with difficult to find skillsets in local and other markets
  • Excellent relationship building skills and experience providing recruitment support in a coaching and advisory capacity to all levels of management
  • Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain and preserve strict confidentiality
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills
