The Rogers Communications Legal department is looking for a dynamic individual to join our team of contract professionals that support contracting for our internal business teams. Reporting to the Managing Counsel, the Contracts Manager will be responsible for supporting Rogers’ procurement contracting activities.

The Rogers Communications Legal department is looking for a dynamic individual to join our team of contract professionals that support contracting for our internal business teams. Reporting to the Managing Counsel, the Contracts Manager will be responsible for supporting Rogers’ procurement contracting activities.
What You'll Be Doing
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts including vendor agreements, service contracts, licensing agreements, SaaS agreements and NDAs.
- Participate actively in contract related discussions with vendors and internal business clients by explaining Rogers contractual terms, relaying internally vendor’s legitimate concerns and making recommendations to leadership/relevant approvers of potential way forward with the best risk/opportunity balance.
- Collaborate with legal, procurement, and business units to align contract terms with operational needs.
- Proactively identify process or other improvement opportunities as it relates to the contracting strategy and practices of Rogers.
- Track and prioritize the escalation and resolution of contract related risks and issues in a timely manner.
- Develop and build trusted relationships with internal clients and other stakeholders.
- Assist with special projects as requested.
- Strong understanding of legal contract terms and conditions and risk management.
- Undergraduate degree in a technology, business and/or law field (paralegal certification preferred).
- 7+ years’ contract negotiation experience (including complex contractual transactions), preferably in the telecommunications or IT industry.
- Experience in construction-related contract negotiations is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
- Strong business and legal acumen.
- Strong oral communications and interpersonal skills.
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills, along with an ability to manage problems logically and creatively to achieve the end goal.
