Reporting to the Director of Agency Operations, the position will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to plan and execute 360° campaigns from conception to delivery. The chosen candidate will play an integral role in our Loblaw Agency Team to manage our Market banners (Grocery portfolio) as a priority focus, as well as supporting on key projects within our Shoppers Drug Mart Division (approx. 75:25% allocation).

The Agency Operations Manager will both plan for and lead the end to end process of major marketing initiatives through major milestones and stakeholder approvals. This role will work cross-functionally with key leads within Loblaw Agency as well as brand partners. key contacts organize the project

Key Responsibilities

  • Briefings: participate with a lens to understand the overall business goals, dependencies and creative objectives
  • Project planning; assessing project requirements and develop project plans with key dates/milestones and tasks
  • Support the project through a streamlined delivery process and initiatives on process optimization
  • Lead weekly status meetings across tactical phases with respective stakeholders, managing brand team deliverables against schedule
  • Communicate clear asset requirements, translations, feedback and deadlines. Book internal meetings, quality control check, review and manage revisions and stakeholder approvals
  • Ensure meetings are outcome driven with clear decisions and next steps, provide updates to team and flag any risks
  • Actively manage the day-to-day project progress and communicate team updates as necessary to ensure the holistic knowledge of project status and next steps
  • Anticipate changes and pivot plan accordingly to propel project forward
  • Risk management; proactively flagging risks/issues, update timing and resourcing to key players and find solutions to bring project back on track
  • Develop key communication and project documents, manage key files within the central platform, Workfront
  • Manage the planning, development and output of tactical creative elements from the creative team. Manage assets and versions control
  • Manage the integration amongst various marketing, advertising and PR partners to ensure brand consistency
  • Provide thought leadership and proactivity on operations and process optimizations
  • Production oversight; collaborate with creative leads and producers, internal and external throughout all stages, communicating deliverables, brand requirements and budget management from concept to execution (video, photo, animation and social content)
  • Understand the development, specifications and production of assets per media plan including, social, digital, OOH, print and broadcast. Working with media partners to support delivery of traffic assets into market
  • Support with financial management and data

What You’ll Need

  • 5+ years’ experience in an integrated project/account management role in an agency environment with client-facing experience a plus
  • Proficient with project management tools and methodologies
  • Able to work in an agile environment, adapting to change and comfortable working with the unknowns, prioritizing and pivoting where needed to propel project forward
  • Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams effectively, you remain focused, calm and efficient under pressure
  • Highly organized, you have experience and understand the creative process of multi-channel production from concept to execution
  • Ability to lead and exercise leadership, motivate collaborates with all team members, building trust and camaraderie
  • Strong problem-solving skills, can address issues with immediate and creative solutions while keeping the big picture intact
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Knowledge and curiosity of the growing technology landscape
  • Effective multi-tasker with strong critical thinking and attention to detail
  • Positive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work with autonomy and prioritize in a fast paced environment
  • “PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP or CSM designations considered an asset
