Our team in Canada is growing, we are currently recruiting for an Electrical Designer to join the Team at our Burlington Office
About The Role
- Responsible for drafting and 3D modelling electrical systems for mining and industrial projects
- Develop models, design and drafting using advanced modeling and assembly practices within a 3D and 2D Electrical environment
- Ability to work as part of a team, applying skills to both new construction and renovation projects for drafting of power distribution, lighting and communication systems.
- Provide CAD drafting services to design team.
- Work under the direction of Electrical Engineers to develop working drawings from conceptual layout to detailed construction document packages for submission
- Ability to create electrical design of single line diagrams, motor schematics and wiring, General Arrangement, distribution panels, grounding, lighting, and cable tray.
- Ability to create and maintain cable schedule and material take offs
- Apply, maintain and enforce CAD standards
- Ensure proper documentation of all work, products, and relevant activities
- Provide on-site construction supports as required
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering Design and Drafting Technology from a recognized collage.
- 10 years’ experience of drafting electrical, controls and instrumentation deliverables in an engineering environment
- Experience working within an EPCM environment is preferred.
- Able to work within defined schedules and deadlines
- Able to function well, either as part of a team or independently
- Strong communication, analytical and time management skills
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills
