Job Summary
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Manager, Treasury and Corporate Accounting to oversee critical financial operations across our organization. This role is responsible for managing accounts payable, banking relationships, payment approvals, and complex accounting schedules. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, a deep understanding of sales tax across multiple jurisdictions, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Manager, Treasury and Corporate Accounting to oversee critical financial operations across our organization. This role is responsible for managing accounts payable, banking relationships, payment approvals, and complex accounting schedules. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, a deep understanding of sales tax across multiple jurisdictions, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable Oversight:
- Manage the AP function, including payment approvals and vendor setup approvals.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments and adherence to internal controls.
- Treasury and Banking:
- Maintain and manage relationships with banking partners.
- Oversee cash management across entities.
- Accounting and Financial Reporting:
- Prepare complex Excel-based working papers, including:
- Consolidated financial statements
- Stock option schedules
- Intellectual Property amortization schedules
- Conduct month-to-date variance analysis and provide insights to leadership.
- Tax Compliance:
- Act as the in-house expert on sales tax across multiple jurisdictions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and filings.
- Credit Management:
- Manage customer credit limits and liaise with the sales team to assess and approve credit.
- Coordinate with Export Development Canada (EDC) to ensure appropriate credit coverage.
- Insurance Management:
- Oversee corporate insurance policies, prepare applications and ensure adequate coverage across all areas of risk.
- Ad-Hoc Projects:
- Support various finance and operational initiatives as needed.
- Working towards or successful completion of Canadian CPA designation.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and treasury functions.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with complex accounting schedules.
- Experience with sales tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience managing AP and working with external vendors and financial institutions.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
