What will you work on?

The Account Manager, Amazon Marketplace embodies Spin Master’s values of Entrepreneurial Spirit and Driving Results. This role is focused on meeting consumer demand across all online marketplaces in the United States through direct marketplace selling and Specialty 3rd Party sellers. This role is a combination of being a skilled specialist in marketplace selling and traditional Account Management to deliver short-term volume and profit goals while being strategic to build a long-term, sustainable business plans with our partners.

In this role, you have the opportunity to build an Online Marketplace business plan with a grouping of customers/marketplaces that complements our national strategic retailers direct online plans. The key focus will be delivering incremental sales through strategic exclusive programs, buy box back-up and an expanded product line

How will you create impact?

  • Traditional Account Management Responsibilities:
    • Maintain steady communication with Specialty 3rd Party seller accounts to ensure sales plans, product assortments coincide and compliment National Strategic Accounts online direct plans. Assess, develop, nurture, and manage online business partners to ensure that assortments are aligned with Spin and Brand online strategy.
    • Monitor retail sales weekly, seasonal business plans, and competitive pressures to maximize sales and profits. Deliver net sales revenue and customer profit targets quarterly and annually.
    • Collaborate with Specialty 3rd Party seller accounts and the internal online team to build a complimentary assortment plan. Deliver and communicate item distribution recommendations (marketplace versus direct).
    • Work with partners to drive discoverability, optimize merchandising, advertising, and promotional plans to deliver sell-through and replenishment.
    • Prepare monthly sales reports analyzing marketplace trends, retail sales, individual account trends and competitive activity.
    • Lead weekly business calls with Specialty 3rd Party seller accounts.

  • Marketplace Seller Responsibilities:
    • Manage our full product catalog across eCommerce marketplaces including item set-up.
    • Monitor US market sales, inventory and supply plans to identify buy box opportunities and determine replenishment plans across online marketplaces.
    • Execute forecast, inventory and ordering plans in seller portals to meet consumer demand and deliver growth.
    • Analyze profitability and fees structure to deliver profitable sales growth and maximize supply chain space.
    • Social Commerce marketplace lead for Tik Top Shop, Instagram Facebook
    • Determine pricing and promotional plans and actions in accordance with retail performance sell-through.
    • Collaborate with online content and merchandising teams to ensure product detail pages are compelling and optimized for search and conversion.
    • Create and maintain detailed account analytics and performance reporting
What are your skills and experience?

  • Account Management experience in a consumer products industry,
  • Experience working directly with or as a seller, on Amazon/Walmart/Target and other Online Marketplaces; strong understanding of performance data relevant to Amazon/Walmart and other Online Marketplaces sell-through and marketing
  • A high in-depth knowledge of consumer products industry and an understanding on executing customer sales, order management, logistics and retail sales coverage.
  • Ideally, this same high in-depth knowledge and experience of internal functions (i.e., Sales Resources, Business Planning, Marketing and Customer Service)
  • Strong analytics capability including a high level of Excel
  • Ability to synthesize large quantities of data to relevant, actionable, insights, and recommendations
