Your role, your impact

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial and delivery performance of the project, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, implementation, communication activities, and resource management. You will communicate project direction and status to the client, manage stakeholder expectations, and build strong client relationships. In this role, you will serve as the primary project leader and the consistent Alithya leadership representative to both the client and the team.

Your day-to-day

Overall Client Project Satisfaction

• Proactively participate in customer health surveys;
• Work with the Director/EM, EA and Alithya leadership to address client satisfaction issues as needed;
• Focus on developing a referenceable client and project experience.
  
  

Managing Stakeholder Expectations And Building Successful Stakeholder Relationships

• Engage with client project executive sponsors, project leadership and the core team;
• Coordinate with the Alithya project delivery team and executive sponsors;
• Liaise with Microsoft (FastTrack as needed);
• Manage relationships with ISVs and other third parties engaged in the project.
  
  

Project delivery: On time, within budget, and according to contract specifications (SOW):

• Understand and clearly communicate contract scope, assumptions, budgets, and risks;
• Work proactively with Sales and the Director/EM to ensure stakeholder alignment;
• Own the scope, budget, schedule (own it vs. EM).
  
  

Project Financial Performance And Reporting

• Ensure accurate and timely setup of project data in Alithya internal systems (Oracle, Performance Tool, Teams, ADO and other tools as needed);
• Provide timely, clear, and accurate budget reporting;
• Develop and manage timely and credible forecasting;
• Manage timesheets and non-billable time;
• Minimize client concessions;
• Review and approve invoices;
• Track and escalate project accounts receivable issues;
• Understand, track, and manage project margins;
• Collaborate with Sales and Accounting on subcontract, ECIF and passthrough contracts;
• Identify, communicate, and execute on change request requirements, including scope, estimate and timeline impacts in a clear and timely manner internally and to the client. This includes drafting change requests.
  
  

Project Organization And Planning

• Define and adhere to a project governance structure;
• Develop credible and timely project plans;
• Ensure clear and timely scheduling of tasks and activities;
• Ensure clear and transparent risk and issue management;
• Maintain an effective and consistent cadence of status meetings (team, development, workstream, steering committee, etc.).
  
  

Resource Management And Scheduling

• Plan and request project resources proactively;
• Manage resource utilization;
• Onboard new project resources;
• Manage team dynamics, provide coaching and resolve conflicts;
• Ensure quality assurance across engagements and deliverables;
• Address and recognize team performance, including project performance reviews and performance improvement plans.
  
  

Status And Metric Reporting

• Deliver timely, concise, and clear status updates to the project team (internal and with the client), project leadership and executive leadership (monthly reporting and meetings).
  
  

Keys to your success

• 10 years of experience as a Project Manager with Microsoft Dynamics;
• Bilingualism: Ability to manage a project in both French and English;
• Expertise in Microsoft Finance & Operations (F&O), Microsoft Customer Engagement (CE) and Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS);
• Expertise in Azure DevOps;
• Mastery of project tools including Microsoft Project, Oracle, Azure DevOps, LCS, Performance Tool and Teams;
• Ability to manage fixed-fee projects as well as government or para-government projects;
• Familiarity with Microsoft Xpress methodology.
