About Us OTI Lumionics is developing advanced materials—by design—using quantum simulations, machine learning and real-world testing in pilot production. We are currently focused on key enabling materials for OLED displays that will be used in next-generation consumer electronics and automotive. Our advanced electrode materials, and associated manufacturing technology, are being used to build transparent displays and lighting. We work closely with our partners and customers to design new materials that are mass-production ready. Using our computational Materials Discovery Platform, we are able to rapidly iterate new materials, allowing fast turn around time to meet our customers’ needs

Primary Responsibilities
  • Upkeep and maintain facility equipment and systems to ensure smooth operations
  • Evaluate, optimize and upgrade existing system set-ups to allow utilization of its full capabilities
  • Facilitate operators for any troubleshooting of equipment
  • Manage facility housekeeping
  • Organize, manage and maintain tools, space, storage.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunction in various types of production equipment and general facility maintenance
  • Install new production equipment and systems when required
  • Relocate and expand existing production systems as required
  • Set up compressed air, gas lines, install electrical power cables
  • Perform all preventative maintenance on all production equipment
  • Lift and transport equipment and parts
  • Assist production team on various installations and machining requirements
  • Provide general mechanical support to office maintenance and production teams
  • Design and build mechanical structures to facilitate equipment installation
  • Maintain and ensure the work complies with health and safety standards
  • Other ad hoc duties as assigned
  • Must have the ability to work all shifts (e.g. morning and evening shifts, weekend shifts, and holiday shifts)
  • Ensure compliance with environmental policies, procedures, and objectives, and actively participate in the identification and reduction of environmental impacts related to the role
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols, report hazards, and contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all employees

profile
  • Degree in Science or Engineering
  • Completion of an industrial maintenance vocational or technical school program will be an asset
  • Electrician experience will be an asset
  • 2-3 years industry experience is required

  • Machine shop experience
  • Experience with high vacuum technology
  • Cleanroom Experience
