RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC

The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position Summary

Supervised by the director of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) research Dr. Lily Hechtman, the incumbent will complete research and clinical responsibilities in a number of ongoing ADHD studies involving children and adolescents.

General Duties

  • Work on a research project looking at treatment of children and adolescents with ADHD,
  • Administer and score questionnaires, data summary and data entry,
  • Conduct telephone screenings and patient follow-up,
  • Conduct diagnostic interviews and facilitate group interventions,
  • Serve as a coach for adolescents with ADHD which includes conducting weekly phone calls with the adolescents to provide support based on group intervention,
  • Participate in data cleaning and data entry.

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Required Skills

  • Strong background and experience in psychology preferred,
  • Clinical and research experience involving children or adolescents,
  • Good interpersonal skills and knowledge of research methodology,
  • Must be able to work autonomously and cooperatively in a team,
  • Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills,
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and French necessary.

Additional information

Status: Temporary, full time (35-hour workweek)

Pay Scale: Commensurate with education and experience. $34,980.40 to $52,452.40.

Work Shift: Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm

Work Site: GLEN Site, 1001 boul. Decarie
