The Role

We are seeking a Digital Experience Designer with a passion for creating and crafting compelling user-centric design solutions for Seequent’s customer facing digital footprints. In this role, you’ll focus on designing and optimising Seequent’s digital presence across websites, landing pages, campaign assets, and interactive content. A successful candidate will have a background in user experience (UX) design, user interface (UI) design, and have a strong understanding of digital marketing, brand storytelling, and performance-driven design.

You’ll collaborate with marketing, content, development, and product teams to create seamless, engaging digital journeys that elevate our brand and drive business results.

What You’ll Do

UX/UI Design

  • Design intuitive, visually appealing responsive interfaces for hand-held, mobile and desktop platforms.
  • Develop wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes to communicate design concepts.
  • Translate marketing goals into intuitive, visually compelling digital experiences.
  • Ensure consistency in design elements and user interactions across various web initiatives
  • Ensure brand consistency across all digital touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with developers to bring designs to life with performance and accessibility in mind.


User Experience & Conversion Optimisation

  • Conduct user research, A/B testing, and behavioral analysis (e.g., Hotjar, Fullstory) to inform design decisions.
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate ideas.
  • Optimise user flows and CTAs to improve engagement and conversion rates.


Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with marketing, web team and product stakeholders to align design with business objectives.
  • Present design concepts to stakeholders and iterate based on feedback.
  • Participate in cross-functional reviews and contribute to a culture of creative excellence.

Design Systems & Best Practices

  • Maintain and evolve Seequent’s digital design system and web style guide.
  • Stay current with web design trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Ensure accessibility and SEO best practices are embedded in all designs.

Mentoring and Leadership

  • Share technical and career experience with the team.
  • Demonstrate personal integrity and open communication.
  • Demonstrate ownership in individual contributions and seek out way ways to improve team delivery.
  • Positively influence a friendly, open culture of collaboration.

Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage multiple design projects with competing deadlines.
  • Collaborate with project managers to define timelines and deliverables.
  • Ensure high-quality, on-brand execution of all digital assets on time.

  • Adhere to and implement continuous improvement processes.
  • Ensure continuous learning to remain up to date with web design and development practices.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital design.
  • Identify opportunities for improving user experiences and propose innovative solutions.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Digital Experience Designer, UX/UI Designer, or a similar role in a web design environment.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Miro, Figma, adobe XD, Research Tools, Behavioural data analytics tools like Fullstory, Hotjar, Mouseflow, or similar
  • Strong understanding of UX principles, responsive design, and conversion optimization.
  • A portfolio showcasing web and marketing design work, including process and outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with multiple stakeholders.
  • Indepth understanding of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).

Bonus Points For

  • Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Experience working in Agile or Lean UX environments.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Contentful).


Additional Information

This role is hybrid in-office and remote based out of our Christchurch or Vancouver office. As a global position, flexibility to take meetings outside standard working hours may be required.
