DESCRIPTION:
Reporting directly to the Manager, Operations Support, the Operations Support Lead position will be responsible for long-term operational issues follow-up (audit items). This will include Audit findings, HID mitigation, Ongoing operational problems, and procedure writing. The operations support position also ensures compliance with the Codes / Standards and industry standards. The scope of this job may change as new projects develop.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibility Area #1 – Procedures / Hazard Assessments
- High technical understanding of all facility processes to proofread procedures from all disciplines.
- Complete procedures from the list on SharePoint
- Update procedures using usability mapping.
- Review and complete hazards assessments as required.
- Develop KPI’s for procedure development
- Act as a resource for operations and maintenance groups to identify site specific training material for each site.
- Review existing training material as required.
- Working with HSSE, Environmental, Integrity, ATCO group and FM global on mitigations of audit action items.
- Identify opportunities at other facilities based on action findings.
- Develop a tracking tool for audit action items so all items are easy to find.
- Develop KPI’s for audit action item resolution.
- Facilitate a safety culture with a mindset to complete tasks safety.
- Facilitate the completion of COR audit findings and continue to look for safety improvements.
- Follow up on outstanding hazard ID, incidents and Opportunity for improvement notifications.
- Competing tasks assigned from projects as required.
- Look for opportunities with new projects to apply lessons learned.
- Act as a Maintenance planner or scheduler for Maximo when required.
- Fully understands what information requires confidential treatment and acts accordingly.
- Demonstrates understanding of operational areas and key contacts/roles to ensure issue escalation and resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to function independently, take initiative and function with a high degree of professionalism.
- Well-developed interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- MAXIMO competency.
- An excellent working knowledge of the Customer Service area as well as proven leadership experience.
- Ability to identify gaps in current tasks and required tasks.
- Strong competency in Microsoft Office 365 Apps. (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Teams)
- Well-developed interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- Flexibility, initiative, resourcefulness, and the ability to work as an effective team member.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to prioritize conflicting demands, and the ability to present information in a simple and concise manner
- A strong commitment to Health & Safety and a culture of caring
