Business Analyst:

On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for a Business Analyst for a 12 months contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Mississauga office.


Business Analyst - Job Description:

The Business Analyst will engage in complex regulatory projects, focusing on understanding and implementing regulatory rule sets applicable to entities and clients. This role involves leading data analysis initiatives, designing metrics, and ensuring regulatory compliance within a dynamic and cross-functional environment.


Business Analyst - Responsibilities:

• Understand regulatory rule sets in detail and their applicability in-scope entities and clients
• Lead complex analysis of client data using Excel
• Collaborate with junior BAs to complete simple analysis tasks
• Analyze and dissect large data sets according to applicable rule requirements
• Design and create intelligent metrics and reports for multiple audiences
• Work with cross-functional areas and senior stakeholders to understand requirements
• Ensure a robust approach to delivery and enhance controls where gaps are identified
• Quickly grasp complex problems, complete accurate analysis, and develop solutions
• Manage stakeholder relationships across trades, sales, and business managers
• Drive regulatory compliance to fulfill obligations relating to regulatory changes
  
  
  

Business Analyst - Mandatory Skills:

• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience; must be an energetic self-starter
• Strong MS Excel capability for handling large data sets
• Good knowledge of markets products and environments
• Experience in regulatory projects within Tier 1 banks or Top 4 consulting firms
• Ability to navigate large, complex, and diverse teams and projects
• Knowledge of front-to-back trade lifecycle
  
  
  

Business Analyst – Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Previous experience in regulatory change programs like Brexit, LIBOR, FINRA 4210
• Derivatives knowledge desirable

This is a 12 month contract position.
