What You’ll Be Doing
We’re looking for an experienced Environmental Services leader, reporting to Vice President, Resident Experience, to support and oversee housekeeping and laundry operations across our Ontario Retirement Communities. This role ensures services meet the standards set out in the Retirement Homes Act, 2010, Ontario Regulation 166/11, and public health guidelines, while promoting operational consistency, quality, and safety.

What You’ll Be Doing
We’re looking for an experienced Environmental Services leader, reporting to Vice President, Resident Experience, to support and oversee housekeeping and laundry operations across our Ontario Retirement Communities. This role ensures services meet the standards set out in the Retirement Homes Act, 2010, Ontario Regulation 166/11, and public health guidelines, while promoting operational consistency, quality, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Support compliance with all applicable legislation, regulations, and internal standards for environmental services.
- Identify and mitigate risk related to cleaning, laundry, pest control, and infection prevention.
- Lead the onboarding, education, and performance coaching of Environmental Services Managers.
- Standardize and monitor SOPs, checklists, and service quality across communities.
- Oversee procurement and inventory control for housekeeping/laundry supplies and equipment.
- Collaborate with site leaders to review budgets and financial performance.
- Conduct bi-annual audits and develop action plans for service improvement.
- Partner with Clinical Services on IPAC implementation specific to environmental operations.
- Drive continuous improvement through training, communication, and best practice sharing.
- 5+ years of environmental services experience in senior living or hospitality; retirement sector preferred.
- Certificate in Environmental Services Management or equivalent; CHHA/PHH certification an asset.
- Strong knowledge of Retirement Homes Act , IPAC principles, and public health standards.
- Skilled in training, mentoring, and leading multi-site teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel across Ontario (approx. 4 days/week)
