What Will You Do
Reporting to the Director of Facilities, Operations and Infrastructure, the Specialist, MMS (Maintenance Management Systems) is responsible for the overall support and management of the CMMS, (Computerized Maintenance Management System) configuration and testing of our Maximo operating system as well as providing training on its use.
The Specialist, MMS will be the subject matter expert for the Maximo applications, providing technical expertise to enhance, modify, support, and maintain the system which tracks, manages, and optimizes the performance of the physical assets throughout their lifecycle. This includes managing maintenance, repairs, inventory, and workflows related to those assets.

Their work is essential to maintaining a clean, efficient, and welcoming environment for both travelers and airport staff.
What Are Some Of The Responsibilities
Working knowledge of Oracle Cloud ERP and security
Maximo Cloud and database infrastructure
Maximo application suite, including Maximo tablets
Maximo in SAAS model, licensing structure etc.

What Are Some Of The Responsibilities
- Manage and enforce security policies and access controls for Maximo applications.
- Conduct regular security audits and implement necessary measures to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
- Ensure there are no segregation of duties issues in Maximo applications.
- Manage profile settings in the system at a system and user level.
- Maintain “role-based security” in YYC’s Maximo system.
- Provide technical support to all users (admin users, business users and end-users) on all aspects of the system and troubleshoot issues related to Maximo applications.
- Make configuration changes to the system and reports as requested by users.
- Work collaboratively with Tier 1 or 2 support partner and/or the vendor (Maximo) on complex system problems.
- Maintain a knowledge base of solutions for future reference.
- Develop and deliver training sessions and materials to educate users on how to use the system and on new features.
- Develop and maintain a library of system training materials, including user guides.
- Provide guidance and support to the maintenance team including the Maintenance Planner, Coordinators etc., in all aspects of the maintenance process including the creation of preventive maintenance plans, the delivery of maintenance work orders (i.e. preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and project requests work orders) to trades, contractors etc.
- Maintain a configuration workbook for YYC’s Maximo system.
- Ensure at any given time, the configuration in the system is up to date.
- Develop and build all standard and ad hoc maintenance reports.
- Primary resource for all Maximo enhancement projects.
- The ability to gain and maintain a RAIC (RAIC Program and Application Information)
- Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or other related degree program (e.g. Business Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering).
- A minimum of 5 years in a system analyst role with extensive knowledge of Maximo applications including: CMMS infrastructure and data structure
Working knowledge of Oracle Cloud ERP and security
Maximo Cloud and database infrastructure
Maximo application suite, including Maximo tablets
Maximo in SAAS model, licensing structure etc.
- Experience with requirements gathering and translating these into system configurations.
- Prior experience training end-users on how best to use a system.
- Experience in testing system changes and the process of migrating changes from a test environment to a production environment.
- Previous experience building Maximo reports.
- Knowledge of security principles for an ERP system.
- Skilled at working with end-users and a Tier 1 or 2 support partner to resolve system issues and problems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office tools, especially Excel.
- Strong technical writing proficiency for documentation of applications and creation of Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ability to read, interpret and understand IT technical specifications.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to make accurate and timely decisions within their area of influence, ensuring relevant stakeholders are informed of ongoing developments.
- Excellent relationship building skills. An ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, contractors and vendors.
- Bilingual in English or French
