About The Role
You’ll take ownership of a diverse geographic territory across Eastern Ontario. You'll be responsible for nurturing and growing a strong network of dealer partners while building new business through direct outreach and cold calling. Your audience will include dealers, builders, designers, architects, and specifiers—so your ability to consult, educate, and inspire will be key. You’ll serve as both an ambassador and problem-solver, ensuring clients receive superior service and support while driving strategic product placements in both residential and commercial builds.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow sales within a defined Eastern Ontario territory
- Maintain and service existing dealer accounts with regular in-person visits
- Develop new business through cold calling and lead generation
- Build and support relationships with builders, architects, designers, and project specifiers
- Drive product placement and specifications in new construction and commercial projects
- Conduct product training sessions, lunch & learns, and support dealer sales staff as needed
- Coordinate and maintain product displays and marketing materials
- Troubleshoot and resolve product or service concerns professionally and promptly
- Organize and attend trade shows, seminars, and sales meetings
- Utilize CRM tools to manage accounts and track territory performance
- Proven sales experience, ideally in flooring, construction materials, or a related B2B environment
- Strong knowledge of hardwood, vinyl, and laminate flooring products
- Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Demonstrated ability to build long-term relationships with clients
- Self-starter with strong territory management and cold-calling skills
- Technically savvy with basic computer skills and CRM experience
- Organized, strategic thinker with a growth mindset
- Comfortable working independently, including evenings or weekends as needed
- Competitive compensation structure - Base salary with uncapped commission
