Become a bilingual (English/French) People Services Senior Coordinator at Loblaw and contribute to our top-tier Operations team responsible for delivering exceptional payroll, benefits, pension, and absence management services to our Canadian and United States colleagues.
Responsibilities may include:
- Process and validate multiple pay frequency payroll cycles for all Canadian and United States employee groups, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Compile and remit Withholding Orders
- Complete and review audit reports for accuracy and reasonability
- Provide customer service regarding colleague life-cycle inquiries
- Develop compliance knowledge of relevant payroll, benefit, pension and absence administration regulations and legislation in both Canada and the United States, including union agreements.
- Identify, analyze, and recommend process improvements and system modifications to increase efficiencies.
- Bilingual English/French
- Experience with full-cycle payroll, benefits, pension, and absence administration in a large, multi-national organization with both Canadian and US operations would be considered an asset
- Proven understanding of payroll, pension, benefits and absence legislation and compliance would be considered an asset
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification (or equivalent experience) is considered an asset
- Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) designation would be considered an asset
- Certified Employee Benefit designation (CEBS) would be considered an asset
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-volume environment, effectively prioritizing tasks and managing time to consistently meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication (English/French) and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Workday (HRIS and Payroll), SAP, and time and attendance management systems (STAS, Kronos, Workday) would be considered an asset
