This full-time, Calgary-based role will support a multi-entity operation focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences and high-end real estate projects. Position Summary
Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting monthly reporting, conducting reconciliations, and providing analytical insights to aid decision-making. This role plays a key part in financial planning, budgeting, and process improvement initiatives across resort operations and real estate development projects.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting monthly reporting, conducting reconciliations, and providing analytical insights to aid decision-making. This role plays a key part in financial planning, budgeting, and process improvement initiatives across resort operations and real estate development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger accounts across multiple entities
- Execute monthly close processes to support timely internal and external reporting
- Assist in preparing monthly financial statements for various business units
- Provide insightful financial analysis and key performance indicators to operational leaders
- Support project-specific reporting related to ongoing real estate developments
- Perform account reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and ensuring data integrity
- Maintain up-to-date, accurate ledger and sub-ledger information
- Collaborate with internal teams to assist in budgeting and forecasting cycles
- Contribute to cash flow projections and variance analyses
- Identify and implement enhancements to streamline financial reporting and operational workflows
- Assist in the rollout and optimization of financial systems and tools
- Work cross-functionally with operations, procurement, and development teams to gather and interpret financial data
- Act as a financial resource for internal stakeholders
- CPA designation (or close to completion) with 3–5 years of relevant post-designation experience.
- Strong project accounting experience, ideally within real estate or construction
- Proficient in Sage Intacct and Sage Construction (or similar financial systems)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. You MUST have an exceptional command of the English language – reading, writing and speaking. This position will have you in regular communication with other team members, management, other internal and external staff including.
