Under the general supervision of the Research and Marketing Coordinator, the Advertising Sales Liaison is responsible for the Community Services Department's advertising sales (i.e. Leisure Guide, arenas, aquatic facilities, and other ad sales opportunities). The Liaison will also assist in the development and implementation of advertising sales marketing plans and monitor/administer relevant performance tracking, budgeting, and contract administration processes.

As the Advertising Sales Liaison, you will:

  • Develop departmental advertising sales (i.e. Leisure Guide, arenas, pools. etc.) business relationships with existing and new customers in business-to-business (B2B) markets.
  • Coordinate advertising sales contracts/agreements and purchasing contract processes.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of marketing plans targeting new and existing advertising customers in B2B markets.
  • Coordinate advertising performance tracking systems.

Your education and qualifications include:

  • Post-Secondary Diploma in Public Relations & Communications, Marketing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated success with business development sales with desired experience in advertising sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Must be confident, detail-oriented, extremely ambitious, a self-starter, and a demonstrated business relationship builder.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of creative design and advertising standards.
  • Demonstrated computer skills in advanced Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of budget preparation and forecasting.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop detailed financial spreadsheets.
  • Demonstrated issue/problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated contract administration experience.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
