RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC

The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position Summary

Supervised by the director of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) research Dr. Lily Hechtman, the Coordinator will complete research and clinical responsibilities in a number of ongoing ADHD studies involving children and adolescents.

General Duties

  • Work on a research project looking at treatment of children and adolescents with ADHD,
  • Work with the Institutional Review Board,
  • Conduct telephone screenings and patient follow-up,
  • Obtain Consent from patients and their families,
  • Conduct diagnostic interviews,
  • Facilitate group interventions,
  • Administer and score questionnaires,
  • Supervise Data summary and data entry,
  • Run some data analyses,
  • Train and supervise Research Assistants and Research Volunteers in assessment, treatment activities, data cleaning, and data entry,
  • Train and supervise coaches.

Education / Experience

Education: Diploma of College Studies (DEC)

Field of Study: Psychology or related field

Other education considered an asset for this position: Maîtrise

Work Experience: 1-2 years

Required Skills

  • Experience with data management and SPSS Software,
  • Excellent French and English, spoken and written,
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision.

Additional information

Status: Temporary, full time (35-hour workweek)

Pay Scale: $41 550.60 annual salary.

Work Shift: Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm

Work Site: GLEN Site, 1001 boul. Decarie
