At Doane Grant Thornton, we’re committed to ensuring our compensation practices are fair, equitable and competitive. To get the conversation started, we’re happy to share that our current base salary for this role ranges from $90,000 - $124,000 in Vancouver, BC. If this role is available in another location(s), the associated salary range in that location(s) may vary based on relevant factors, including geography.

As a Manager, Valuation & Litigation Support your responsibilities will include:
- Plan, execute, direct and complete valuations and litigation support engagements for clients from a variety of industries, including cannabis, manufacturing and distribution, technology, retail and distribution, and other diversified industries.
- Drafting Valuation Reports for the purposes of shareholder transactions, corporate reorganizations, income tax planning, estates, and financial reporting.
- Drafting Valuation Reports for financial reporting.
- Assist in litigation matters, including preparation of Expert Reports for shareholder disputes, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties engagements.
- Building detailed valuation and financial models including sensitivity analysis.
- Serve as the day-to-day point person on valuation and litigation support engagements, lead meetings and calls with clients, advisors, and management.
- Manage client expectations concerning deliverables and deadlines and lead team efforts effectively.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships and cross-sell services.
- Communicate (verbally and in writing) externally with clients and internally with all levels of the organization to successfully accomplish objectives portraying knowledge and confidence.
- Work closely with Doane Grant Thornton managers and partners to promptly identify and resolve client problems or issues.
- Manage business development activities, such as proposals, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership material.
- Support the development of junior team members.
- Involvement in the development of best practices within the group.
- Active participation in the development and growth of our Valuations and Litigation Support service offering.

Think you’ve got what it takes to be a Manager, Valuation & Litigation Support? Like the colour purple? Great. Here's a few more boxes we’re also hoping you can tick:
- CPA or CPA, CA professional designation
- CBV designation or close to achieving the designation
- 3 to 5 years of valuation experience
- Sound technical background in financial accounting and tax.
- Strong financial analysis skills and understanding of financial statements, as well as solid financial modelling capabilities.
- Ability to manage projects
- Ability to draft and deliver engagement proposals
- Strong business written and oral communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented and ability to juggle multiple assignments and projects simultaneously
- Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to a dynamic environment
- Commitment to professional and client service excellence
- A strong desire to help clients succeed in all aspects of their operations
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team, seeing a project from start to finish
- Willingness to work through peak periods, as required
- The ability to talk to and meet with people at various levels throughout an organization from a client service and business development perspective
- Demonstrated ability and experience in growing a practice and business development
- Expertise in Microsoft suite of products, with a particular focus on Excel and PowerPoint skills. Knowledge of S&P Capital IQ would be an asset
