The Payroll Assistant is an entry level position primarily responsible for assisting Payroll in processing Records of Employments through PeopleSoft for multiple operating locations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparing Records of Employments in PeopleSoft and sending them to Service Canada.

  • The incumbent will ensure Canadian legislation and Payroll processing standards.

  • Administrative duties including Routine and Ad hoc reports, Year-end support, Mail room.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Payroll Manager or Lead.

Reporting Relationship:

  • The Payroll Assistant reports to the Payroll Lead unless alternate reporting relationships have been established.


Work Location
: Bayshore Healthcare, National Office, Mississauga ON
Hybrid
– At least 2 days onsite weekly
Qualifications:

Education

  • Minimum - Secondary School Diploma, and relevant experience in a related field. College/University degree considered an asset. Candidates with PCP Certification in progress would be preferred.


Experience
:

  • A minimum of two years recent experience in an office setting combined with intermediate PC experience and strong knowledge of MS office applications.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven ability to work independently or in a team environment, including communication skills both written and oral;
  • Providing excellent customer service skills, demonstrated ability to probe, analyze and problem solve issues;
  • Strong sense of organization, attention to detail, time management, and ability to multi-task, to maintain a high level of productivity in a deadline driven environment.
  • Comfortable with working daily with Pivot Tables and V Look up
