Caoutchoucs et Plastiques Falpaco Inc., located in the Granby industrial park in Quebec, specializes in the molding of custom parts made of rubber, plastic, silicone, thermoplastic, elastomer, and polymer. The company acts as a subcontractor in the molding of plastic parts for some of its clients, in addition to offering its own products on the market. It has a complete mechanical machining shop for the manufacture of molds and dies used in injection, compression, and transfer processes, as well as a metal stamping service. Certified as an Eco-Responsible Company since 2018 (now Level 2), it is proud to be one of the pioneers who gave birth to and grew this movement in Quebec.
Duties:
The incumbent oversees the assembly and disassembly of the mold and adjusts the molding parameters so that the manufactured products meet quality requirements. They organize, control, and optimize the production activities of their unit to ensure product quality, equipment productivity, and labor productivity. Prepare setups; Comply with indicators (required cycle time); Ensure that the molds to be repaired are inventoried at the end of each production run; have a complete sample of the last molded part ("complete shot") and properly identified; Ensure product quality before starting production. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Responsible for basic preventive maintenance of machines; Responsible for SMED (internal and external setup); Ensure staff safety; Participate in mold design; Participate in certain machinery shows. Responsible for quality assurance (inspection) based on quality criteria: implement and monitor quality assurance procedures; verify (inspect) quality at the start and during production.
Education level: Secondary
Years of experience related to the job: 2 years of experience
Description of skills: Knowledge of the industry; Minimum knowledge of English; Knowledge of molds; Knowledge of the behavior of plastics; Respond quickly to quality issues on machines.
