POSITION PURPOSE: The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of goods, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This role involves managing staff, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring that all warehouse activities align with company policies and procedures.

Operations:

  • Supervise, coach and motivate warehouse staff.
  • Submitting purchase orders to the suppliers as required.
  • Receiving product verification vs PO on a daily basis including PO submission.
  • Administrative work such as updating the daily Receiving Log, Lot Codes, tracking the Merchandising Report and other records as required.
  • Performing daily Inventory Control including Coordination of Daily Delivery Schedule.
  • Responsible for monitoring employee hygiene and GMP Practices are being followed according to SOP and Brand standards.
  • Must demonstrate above average Problem-Solving skills in order to provide solution focused outcomes within the warehouse.
  • Prepare and Plan for the launch of new product, promotion and preparation for the production teams.
  • Attend weekly and bi-weekly calls as required by the FC Manager.
  • Ensure all warehouse equipment is working properly and in good functioning order which includes Forklifts, Pallet Jacks and Docking Stations.
  • Monitor and optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to improve efficiency.
  • Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and losses.
  • Ensure all products are kept at the required safe temperature guidelines while receiving and shipping.
  • Monitory daily Inventory and Write Off Controls including FIFO standards.
  • Position may require other job duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Quality and Food Safety:

  • Ensures HACCP and SQF compliance
  • Maintains any required food handlers’ certification/ mobile equipment license as required and ensures staff is certified.
  • Assisting Food Center Manager in internal audit as and when required.

Human Resources & Safety:

  • Follows HR practices and procedures for positive discipline. Provides regular motivational and corrective feedback to employees as required.
  • Responsible for updating SDS and attending the Health and Safety Meetings Monthly ensuring all Health and Safety Regulations and Requirements are being followed and met daily.
  • Promotes and displays proactive, positive leadership qualities to the team.
  • Gives direction-guidance to warehouse staff, drivers, lead hand on performance, training and positive discipline.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum grade 12 or equivalent
  • Relative experience including Warehouse Supervisory Experience
  • Supervisor skills and experience
  • Communication skills
  • demonstrates leadership
  • ability to effectively train other team members
  • Must hold Valid Forklift Certification
  • Must Hold Valid Standard First Aid Certification

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/TRAVEL:

  • Reading- High School
  • Writing- High School
  • Math- High School
  • Basic Computer Skills including Excel Knowledge.
  • Travel- Minimal – No.

PHYSICAL EFFORT/WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Must be able to work in Cold environment. Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs. to a maximum of 50 lbs.
