We have a phenomenal career opportunity for Boiler Machinery Engineers for the Alberta and Saskatchewan region. Reporting to Engineering Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading assigned inspection territory, providing jurisdictional inspections; loss prevention, and claims adjusting. You will be responsible to Engineering Underwriting for technical support.
What you will do
We have a phenomenal career opportunity for Boiler Machinery Engineers for the Alberta and Saskatchewan region. Reporting to Engineering Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading assigned inspection territory, providing jurisdictional inspections; loss prevention, and claims adjusting. You will be responsible to Engineering Underwriting for technical support.
What you will do
- You will lead the inspection of insured risks to assess exposures and equipment, production flow and safe operation of equipment, and jurisdictional inspections.
- Your ability to efficiently handle loss adjustment investigations from date reported to final invoices will be key in this role.
- Motivation and diligence in the approach to being fully proficient in the interpretation of all policy forms.
- Your fluid interpersonal skills, and existing knowledge will be instrumental in writing inspection reports and certificates of inspection.
- We pride ourselves in quality assurance, your focus will be the completion of repair approvals and the administration aligned to the task.
- Ability to complete survey reports for quotes on challenging and exiting accounts prior to binding is a requirement.
- Working with and building relationships with Brokers to provide marketing services and accompany brokers on site visits.
- 3 to 5 years' experience in building or production facility maintenance
- Post-secondary technical education / apprentice
- Strong communication and the ability to interact with others with technical and non-technical verbiage
- Self-motivated, organized, and a dedication to meeting deadlines are critical to the success of the role.
- Great skills in MS word, excel, power point, and experience with database
- Must have valid driver’s license due to the required travel in the role.
- Power engineer 2nd class / stationary engineer 2nd class is a strong asset
- Background in non-destructive testing
- Knowledge of ASME codes
- National Board Commission
- CIP, CRM

- This is a field role and part of a virtual team. Working from home and extensive travel for inspections, claims, and broker training is a requirement. Flexibility is a requirement for this role.
