This role contributes to the development of OpenText’s Core Data Discovery & Risk Insights (CDDRI) platform a cloud-first data security solution designed to discover, classify, and protect sensitive data across unstructured and structured data. CDDRI helps organizations strengthen their data security posture by providing deep insights into data sensitivity, usage, and risk.

As a Software Developer, You Will

  • Deliver resilient and sustainable software projects, managing the entire process from design to implementation and rollout.
  • Execute defined projects to attain team-level goals, collaborating with the team to comprehend customer challenges.
  • Prioritize tasks with the manager to deliver high-quality results that add significant value for the customer.
  • Make informed and timely decisions by gathering input from others and considering customer needs.
  • Communicate project information effectively to the manager, team, and customers, sharing relevant insights.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in consistently delivering high-quality code, translating business requirements into simple projects, navigating large code bases, and debugging other people's code.
  • Bring a passion for AI and actively explore ways to apply AI tools and techniques to enhance code quality, streamline development workflows, and foster innovation.
  • Actively engage in continuous learning and self-improvement, staying current with the latest trends and innovations in software engineering.
  • Show initiative by exploring new tools, frameworks, and ideas beyond day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Possess 2-5 years of previous professional experience.

What You Need To Succeed

  • Proficiency in Java 21 and object-oriented programming principles
  • Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Maven for build automation and dependency management
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL and OpenSearch
  • Experience in Bash scripting for automation and system tasks
  • Solid understanding of Git (GitLab/GitHub) and collaborative development workflows
  • Familiarity with RabbitMQ for messaging and asynchronous communication
  • Experience designing and developing microservice architectures using Spring Boot and Dropwizard
