We are committed to creating a supportive and flexible workplace where everyone can thrive, grow, and make an impact on the lives of small business owners and accountants worldwide.About The RoleAs a Sales Development Representative, you'll handle the full sales process from talking to potential customers to helping them choose and sign up for the right FreshBooks plan through phone calls, chats, and meetings. You'll also team up with the Support, Accountant Channel, and Product teams to win larger or more complex customer accounts.

NOTE: This role is hybrid, meaning the team comes together in our downtown Toronto, Ontario office up to twice a week.

What You'll Do

  • Proactively connect with potential customers through a minimum of 40 outbound calls each day
  • Support inbound customer engagement by managing up to 25 hours per week of live chat conversations
  • Own the full sales cycle by helping new customers find the right FreshBooks plan and closing daily to meet your individual MRR targets
  • Qualify inbound leads from support tickets and marketing campaigns, either converting them directly or partnering with the Upsell team when appropriate
  • Stay on top of key administrative tasks to ensure systems and records are always up to date
  • Use Salesforce.com to track activity, manage your pipeline, and support accurate forecasting
  • Collaborate closely with the customer support team to ensure a seamless experience and stronger customer relationships
  • Strive to meet or exceed performance goals, including daily call and lead activity

You'll Stand Out If You Have

  • Previous experience in a performance-driven sales environment like cold outbound or door to door sales
  • Familiarity with SaaS or working at a technology company
  • Hands-on experience with CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot
