You will be responsible for the overall development, implementation, and maintenance of our network security standards, processes and procedures. While you will have the support of the team and leadership, this role requires a self-starter who can independently identify gaps, develop remediation plans, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.

You will be responsible for the overall development, implementation, and maintenance of our network security standards, processes and procedures. While you will have the support of the team and leadership, this role requires a self-starter who can independently identify gaps, develop remediation plans, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
What you'll be doing:
- Developing network security standards and guidelines. Manage security policies for various network services such as firewalls and remote access.
- Create and maintain a tactical (1 year) network security roadmap, initiatives, and improvements. Proactively identify security gaps and vulnerabilities within the network infrastructure and develop plans to address them.
- Develop and maintain scripts and custom tools to streamline security operations, improve efficiency, and reduce manual effort. (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
- Work closely with various teams (e.g., Engineering, Operations, Compliance) to implement security measures and ensure consistent application of security policies.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network security configurations, policies, and procedures. Provide regular reports on security posture and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Must Haves:
- 5+ years of professional experience in a dedicated network role (not limited to security)
- Post Secondary Education in relevant field or equivalent work experience
- Experience analyzing the configuration of BGP, MPLS, VXLAN, VRFs in a multi-tenant environment.
- Experience managing networking in AWS, GCP or Azure.
- In-depth knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, routing, switching, network segmentation, VRF).
- Hands-on experience configuring and managing network security devices and tools from major vendors (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Juniper).
- Experience scripting and parsing information in Python/BASH/GoLang
- Network or Security Certifications: JNCIP/JNCIE, CCNP/CCIE certifications.
