The Tech+Lab Finance team provides support for IT operations with financial expertise. The team is responsible for coordinating the budgeting and forecasting process, offering guidance on budgets to meet our objectives, tracking and forecasting variances from the plan, and participating in various efficiency and ad hoc activities, such as participating in various steering committees. The team plays a central role with several operational teams on various topics such as financial processes, resource planning, month-end closures, documentation of our processes and training of our partners, coordination among different departments including the project portfolio management team, maintaining and updating the DPL cube (Clarity to Oracle), etc.

What You Will Do
- Act as a leader of a team of analysts and specialists who support the VPs of IS/ITS/Security by providing them with accurate explanations of their financial results, gap analysis, and providing accurate forecasts while challenging assumptions.
- Support the development of all business partners in their cost tracking, establishment of financial recommendations, improvement of reports used for financial tracking, and simplification of financial data for users.
- Accurately consolidate different budgets and estimates and provide key points to the management to facilitate discussions and a good understanding of risks and opportunities.
- Improve key financial indicators to be used to guide operations in their budget and forecast tracking.
- Prepare clear executive summaries highlighting critical points, risks, and opportunities for discussions with management.
- Work closely with other managers to achieve financial transformation and assess potential for continuous improvement, and provide financial tracking of internal productivity initiatives.
- Organize information meetings for business partners to improve their understanding and tracking of costs and the use of financial reports.
- Create simple guides and explanatory documents to help users better understand financial data.
- Use project management tools to coordinate and track cross-group tasks to avoid duplication and inefficiencies.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, continually assess improvement potential, and document lessons learned for future transformation projects.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with operations and other financial teams.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or administration. CPA designation is a significant asset.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in personnel management.
- Strong modeling skills and ability to present financial data to non-financial colleagues.
- Strategic thinking, strong leadership and analytical ability, very well organized.
- Interest in learning about IT systems and understanding the structure and operational processes.
- Ability to lead multiple projects at the same time, be autonomous, proactive, creative, and demonstrate team spirit and a positive attitude.
- Interpersonal communication skills: the ideal candidate must be able to build strong relationships while showing tact and prioritizing business needs over personal aspirations; they will act as an advisor to the IT management team on financial matters.
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
