The opportunity

Working to the Executive Learning & Development Lead, this role will drive the design and implementation of executive (Director level and above) Learning and Development solutions globally that continuously improve the skills and capability of our executive leaders.

The role should help maintain strong connections with business and Talent leaders and understand the skills and capabilities required by executives and ensure this is reflected in Global level executive Learning and/or LD programs.

This role will contribute to the design and oversee effective delivery of critical executive programs including our Global Exec Programs, Virtual Series and be part of the Global New Executive Program (GEP) delivery team.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Lead to help define and drive implementation of executive learning and development solutions globally at EY. Work with business leaders and Talent stakeholders to understand the critical and common skills and capabilities required of executives at EY, and to ensure leading learning pathways, curriculum and development initiatives are in place
  • Contribute insights to develop a comprehensive framework and/or method for assessing executive competencies. Anticipate skill gaps or new requirements, and where key skills are to be developed, lead on the design and implementation of executive learning curriculum
  • Understand and support delivery of the Global Leadership Development strategy for EY. Help monitor performance of executive capabilities to demonstrate value to both Talent leaders and the business
  • Manage critical global Executive learning programs, including the Global Executive Programs (GEPs). Ensure these GEPs are supported by the Regions effectively ensuring a steady flow of nominated participants. Capture feedback and enhance program design and delivery
  • As required work with the Succession Planning Lead to ensure we have the right Talent pipeline attending GEPs
  • As required, work with Global Talent Delivery teams to ensure global processes and technology platforms are effective to enable delivery of global executive learning and development initiatives
  • Conduct analysis and provide thought leadership on best practice in executive leadership development. Review external and internal organization data and consider ways to enhance the current executive experience, capability and performance
  • Participate in Communities of Practice / Networks. Engage with Super Region L&D teams to provide best practice and insights to help Super Regions implement Global executive Learning and Development or capture change needs/requirements.
  • Where required, develop proposals for change to enhance Global executive learning and development solutions and/or work as an SMR on global level change projects to enhance the executive experience at EY.

Skills And Attributes For Success

Supervision Responsibilities:

  • Member of the Global L&D team, manage work to define the executive Learning & Development strategy and solutions globally
  • Help define and drive continuous improvement of executive Learning & Development solutions and programs with a view of external best practices and internal stakeholder requirements
  • Manage design and optimization of GEP, working with multiple stakeholders and providing timely updates to leadership
  • Where opportunities for change to global solutions are identified, work with Talent colleagues to complete analysis and propose recommendations for change aligned to internal Global Talent governance process
  • Foster and maintain effective relationships with other Global Talent Function Leaders, Region Talent Leaders/teams and third parties to drive effective service delivery, consistency in ways of working

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Strong business acumen, understanding of EY’s ‘All In’ business strategy and the Talent implications
  • Knowledge of the way EY Talent operates, the Talent operating model and organization structure
  • Knowledge of the L&D function service delivery model and ways of working, including: function processes, technology / systems and the organization structure and roles, especially for Skills & Career solutions
  • Ability to conduct analysis and problem solving skills to identify issues and recommend change
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to set priorities and allocate work within effective time frames
  • Proactive and pragmatic style, agile mindset and approach to deliver global services under cost and time pressures
  • Strong influencing and communication skills. Maturity in approach to interact with: Global and Super Region Talent leaders
  • Ability to use Global Technology as well as other relevant HR systems and knowledge tools

Other Requirements:

  • Due to global nature of the role; travel and willingness to work alternative hours will be required

Job Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Educated to degree level in a related discipline
    • Higher professional or a Masters qualification in a related discipline is preferred, not required
  • Experience:
    • Demonstrable experience in a closely related Talent or Consulting role considering skills strategy, solutions and performance
    • Demonstrable experience of operating at a senior level, building and maintaining relationships with senior business and Talent leaders at Global and Region levels
    • Demonstrable experience of having managed a team to implement quality work at pace and of resolving people issues that may arise
    • Demonstrable experience of assessing and scoping potential project/change initiatives and development of associated business cases
    • Demonstrable experience of thinking and acting strategically and commercially in pursuit of the wider business objectives
    • Demonstrable experience of working in fast-paced, demanding environment to deliver required results
  • Certification Requirements:
    • Higher professional or masters qualification in a related discipline are preferred, not required
    • Active membership to related professional bodies or industry groups is preferred, not required

The compensation ranges below are provided in order to comply with United States pay transparency laws. Other geographies will follow their local salary guidelines, which may not be a direct conversion of published US salary ranges.

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $96,300 to $180,100. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $115,600 to $204,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
