The Role

This position is responsible for overseeing planning and tactical execution of various marketing and communications campaigns, programs and initiatives within the Marketing and Communications team. This role will work closely with various business unit marketing and communications plans to meet business goals and objectives.

Specifically, this role assists with the management of campaigns and key projects for MCAP’s residential origination brands, MCAP, RMG, MERIX, Eclipse and NPX. Examples include Blue Culture, both MCAP and MERIX broker reward trips, regular campaigns and brand execution for all residential sales activities.

Marketing Campaigns Key Projects

  • Manage and oversee the MCAP Summit and MERIX Status trips, Blue Culture and regular campaigns and projects that are planned over the year for all residential origination brands
  • In conjunction with the VP of Marketing who will set the strategy and objectives, the Senior Manager will be responsible for yearly planning, promotion and implementation of key activities and campaigns.Includes the development of campaign plans and briefs, content schedules, tactical schedules, coordination with the team for kick offs, work management, assets creation, and collection and reporting of analytics to ensure management of day-to-day logistics as well as yearly planning and promotion
  • Ensure all campaigns and projects meets objectives and valuable data collection for the business as well any relevant lead generation
  • Work with the V.P. Marketing to create marketing strategy and support the delivery of tactical initiatives
  • Support the strategy and vision through planning, management and implementation of marketing campaigns and projects
  • Assist in the identification of marketing opportunities
  • Summarize key results and analytics for campaigns and projects for projects under your supervision
  • Create and manage content and campaign calendars
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources to manage execution
  • Coordinate promotions, campaigns and communications for the borrower portal
  • Assist in implementing MCAP’s external social media communications strategy with the Digital Marketing Lead
  • Ensure communications are clear, consistent, appropriately branded, and follow brand standards
  • Email Marketing Campaigns and Automations Oversee the development and accuracy of email marketing campaigns within the marketing department, for the residential originations brands
  • Support other members of the MAC team on email marketing initiatives
  • Planning and delivery of analytics for campaigns
  • Develop best practices for reporting and analytics and provide insight on email marketing campaigns
  • Digital Marketing: work with marketing communications lead to integrate content distribution through social channels when relevant to campaigns

Event Campaign Support and Execution

  • Act as a support to events to provide needed promotional or campaign support for the Residential Origination Brands
  • Support development of all CSR initiatives for the Residential Origination Brands

Internal and External Communications

  • Ensure communications are clear, consistent, appropriately branded, and follow brand standards
  • Ensure proper user experience is implemented across all MCAP properties, including aspects of branding, design and communication.

Relationship Management and General Support

  • Act as key point of contact for Residential Origination Brands MCAP, RMG, MERIX, Eclipse & NPX
  • Build and maintain relationships with relevant business unit leaders
  • Offer sound advice to enhance our company’s marketing and communication efforts
  • Liaise with BDM’s to ensure collection of sales support requirements to support marketing efforts
  • Support the V.P. Marketing in developing marketing processes to ensure a smooth, efficient and cost effective workflow when working with other business units
  • Creation and maintenance of SOP documentation for all key process to ensure continuity in the business

Product Launches & Promotions

  • Assist with planning and execution of product launches and national sales promotions (as required)

Marketing Processes and Standards

  • Comply with marketing standards and follow set processes for routine work
  • Assist with the development of marketing processes
  • Contribute ideas for improving marketing standards and processes

Budgeting

  • Intelligent spending to maximize and streamline cost efficiencies across the brands
  • Adherence to budget
  • Participate in annual budget planning
  • Seek solutions to increase efficiency of spending

Lead and Manage Staff

  • Champion the company’s Vision, Mission and Values as set out in the Strategic Plan both internally and externally within the industry.
  • Recruit and develop the right people that believe in and reflect in their behavior MCAP’s values and culture.
  • Establish, monitor and communicate performance standards to direct reports reinforcing individual results, work quality, continuous improvement, teamwork and achievement of MCAP’s’s objectives.
  • Educate, coach and counsel staff to ensure they are empowered to effectively handle their roles in a confident and professional manner.
  • Establish and maintain an effective system of communication throughout the business unit.
  • Ensure a continuous improvement culture is established and encouraged.
  • Ensure staffing levels are appropriate given business targets and results
  • Demonstrate leadership in order to focus staff toward our goals and to overcome obstacles to our success

What You Bring To The Team

  • A minimum of 7-9years of experience in a marketing or communications role
  • Solid understanding of campaign management and digital deployment tools
  • Solid marketing project management background
  • Knowledge of mortgage industry and mortgage brokering in Canada would be an asset
  • Knowledge of professional communications and marketing principles
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality on all sensitive matters
  • Enthusiastic, creative and experienced in working effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Attention to detail
