The Demand Planning Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining reliable demand forecasts to ensure optimal inventory levels, efficient supply chain operations, and high customer satisfaction. This role works cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management team members to gather input and align on accurate demand plans.
The Demand Planning Specialist will be required to travel occasionally to the Master Group's various places of business to discuss and attend meetings with regional sales, purchasing, supply chain and product teams.

The Demand Planning Specialist will be required to travel occasionally to the Master Group's various places of business to discuss and attend meetings with regional sales, purchasing, supply chain and product teams.
What you will accomplish with us:
- Develop, analyze, and maintain statistical demand forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, and input from key stakeholders.
- Implement best practices and industry benchmarks to enhance demand planning processes.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management to incorporate promotional activities, product launches, and discontinuations into demand plans.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and develop strategies to continuously improve forecast performance.
- Assist in monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings by providing forecast insights and variance analysis. Share insights and forecast data to facilitate better decision-making across the organization.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess or obsolete stock. Monitor inventory turnover and adjust forecasts as necessary.
- Analyze demand patterns, identify potential risks or opportunities, and communicate findings to Demand Planning Manager.
- Use forecasting tools and ERP systems to support demand planning activities.
- Development and utilization of SPI tool to generate demand and inventory balance.
- Work closely with vendors to align supply with forecasted demand.
- Travel within Canada as and when required etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of MS Office software, Mid-High-level experience with excel, manipulating formulas and queries
- 2–5 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or related field. Experience in managing or working with PSI files is a bonus.
- Knowledge of Ducted and Ductless products in the Canadian marketplace
- Knowledge of the industry standards, transitions, and market direction for these products
- Knowledge of the target market for these products
- Excellent understanding for products lines and their application
- Good communicator and interpersonal relations capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Experience with new product transition and launch planning
- Sense of urgency and sharp customer service
- Autonomy in managing priorities and schedules
- Demonstrated teamwork abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Diplomacy, courtesy, and political acumen
- Knowledge of Canadian market trends and customer needs in the HVAC industry
