Reporting to the Vice President Supply Chain and the Project Director, New Builds, the Project Procurement PMT Director is responsible for leading an integrated procurement team of Procurement representatives from multiple Project partners on all procurement related activities for the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP).
The incumbent is responsible to ensure all procurement activities are carried out in accordance with the project budgets and schedule, including establishing and overseeing a long-term plan, developing project metrics, overseeing integrated processes, and resolving Project issues related to procurement. They are responsible to manage personnel working on the project, ensuring high performance and production of procurement deliverables while serving as a champion on behalf of the Procurement function across the wider Project including with the Leadership team.
This role will be based in Oshawa, ON.

Your Role Within The Team
- Develops and oversees an effective, integrated program for all Procurement related activities on the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP), by coordinating with Procurement Directors/Managers from each of the Project Partners.
- Overall accountability for delivery of an effective procurement strategy, including but not limited to delivery of all goods and services to the Project in a timely manner.
- Development and oversight of all Procurement PMT governance related to the function including but not limited to all procedures and processes including subcontractor management plans.
- Responsible for the seamless integration of Non Owner Party related Procurement processes, workflows and governance so as to ensure an effective Procurement delivery model.
- Ensures all Procurement packages are delivered at the lowest total cost of ownership leveraging the Project’s multi-unit strategy to drive down costs and improve efficiency.
- Serves as the primary Procurement contact with Owner/Operator representatives throughout the project procurement delivery lifecycle.
- Working with Engineering and the respective Design Authority representatives, the Procurement PMT Director is responsible for ensuring that fit for purpose and qualified Vendors are in place to support \ The delivery of the Project’s Procurement objectives.
- Working closely with Warehouse and Materials Management, the DNNP Procurement PMT Director is responsible to develop and oversee an effective end-to-end material management process, including integration into a digital delivery tool.
- Working closely with Construction, the DNNP Procurement PMT Director is accountable for ensuring materials and equipment are on site in accordance with the Project schedule.
- Accountable for Project Procurement reporting, including but not limited to the development of Key Performance Indicators, contracting and contract management related reporting.
- Serves as champion for the Project’s Made in Ontario, ED&I and other procurement commitments.
- Provide Support and escalation of issues for all Procurement related activities on DNNP.

- University degree preferred, and CSCMP certification / MBA would be an asset.
- 15 years’ experience in the purchasing field, including having sound knowledge of purchasing practices for highly complex nuclear components, and project experience.
- Demonstrated leadership with a minimum 10 years’ experience leading a procurement team.
- Experience leading strategic sourcing strategies and supplier negotiations.
- Experience in Quality program standards and processes related to supply chain.
- Required to work five (5) days per week in the Oshawa office.
- Business travel as required.
