About This Opportunity

We are currently seeking a dynamic Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team, based in Toronto. Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, the HRBP will support all departments across the organization, including Plant Operations and the hourly workforce. Key responsibilities include policy implementation and adherence, employee relations, training and development, and the execution of various HR programs and initiatives. This position requires four days per week in the Toronto office, in addition to regular travel to Kingston to support business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise client group(s) on the interpretation and administration of HR policies and programs.
  • Assist in revising and maintaining company policies, procedures, and related documents.
  • Support managers with employee relations and performance issues under the guidance of the Senior HR Manager.
  • Administer benefits enrollment and updates, including key milestones, to ensure timely and accurate coverage, deductions, and recordkeeping.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive HR records through data entry in the HRIS system, including new hires, offboarding, absenteeism and turnover rates.
  • Prepare and deliver lunch n’ learns, including the development of PowerPoint presentations.
  • Provide counsel and guidance on employee relations matters across all

departments, including plant operations and hourly employees (e.g., performance, attendance, conflict resolution, disability management, investigations, terminations).

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field (HR designation such as CHRP is an asset).
  • 3-7 years of progressive human resources experience in a manufacturing setting supporting an hourly workforce.
  • Proactive with a high attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service mindset.
  • Demonstrated discretion, sound judgment, and a proactive, collaborative approach.
  • Proven ability to problem-solve and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Committed advocate for process improvement and leveraging data to support decision-making.
  • Demonstrates initiative, ownership, and persistence with a tenacious approach to achieving goals.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Advanced level of Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation and HR compliance standards (provincial and local).
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS systems is required, preferably with ADP.
