Position Overview
This role is located at our Yonge Eglinton Centre location. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Legal, this position is responsible for providing administrative and other support to RioCan’s Legal Department.

Position Overview
This role is located at our Yonge Eglinton Centre location. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Legal, this position is responsible for providing administrative and other support to RioCan’s Legal Department.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of commercial contracts and other legal documentation, including commercial leases and correspondence;
- Proofread legal agreements, including commercial leases and various corporate documents, and attend to their execution and distribution;
- Update internal status reports for ongoing legal matters;
- Follow-up with tenants and their legal representatives on outstanding documentation, and act as a liaison within, as well as outside, the organization;
- Attend to payment and categorization of legal invoicing and assist with generating various reports relating to legal spend;
- Administrative support such as filing, scanning, photocopying, document uploading to internal databases and submitting expense reimbursements for team members, as required;
- Attend weekly departmental meetings;
- Other duties / projects as required.
- 5-10 years of experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or real estate organization;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels within, as well as outside the organization;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills;
- Proven ability to work in a team environment;
- Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities;
- Ability to show initiative and work independently;
- Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.
