The Rail and Transit Team in Ontario is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Senior Project Manager to join our cohesive and supportive team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to share your expert knowledge and understanding of all that goes into managing transit projects, demonstrating your expertise in managing a myriad of interdisciplinary projects. You’ll be tasked with managing client relationships and will be responsible for budgeting, scheduling and ensuring that the Jacobs delivery team meet the client expectations.

Based in Toronto, the position requires intermittent periods of short-term travel to client and supplier facilities. We work with Hybrid work from home /office/ client site schedules, requiring at minimum two days in our Jacobs office/client offices/project site.

In this role you will

  • Be responsible for managing projects and the coordination of project delivery to scope, schedule, budget.
  • Champion the delivery of high-quality projects that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Support client and stakeholder relationships development.
  • Support business development activities leading to the award of further contracts.
  • Work with project delivery leadership to provide oversight and mentoring. Support the development of team members, regardless of individual experiences (both technical and non-technical) through active coaching and mentoring.

Here's what you'll need

  • 20+ years of demonstrated Project Management Experience and in-depth knowledge of the rail and transit environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences are critical.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Collaborative and team oriented as well as highly resourceful and self-directed, with a key focus on important skills including communications, time management, teamwork, report writing, and proposal preparation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience preparing presentations, briefing material, memos, and technical reports.
  • Empathy, self-awareness, and career enthusiasm
