Reporting to the MRO Inventory manager, the Stock Keeper will be responsible for general inventory and warehousing responsibilities, including servicing the parts counter, cycle counting, reshelving stock, and accepting inbound deliveries.

This is an afternoon shift - 3PM - 11:30PM Monday to Friday.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Service the parts counter by accurately retrieving parts and issuing them out in a fast paced environment.
  • Issue handed-out parts in ERP system using the appropriate journals to update stock levels.
  • Ensure accurate stock levels by regularly cycle counting categories and making the appropriate adjustments when discrepancies are found.
  • Accept and log inbound deliveries from couriers.
  • Reshelve/put away items returned to inventory and cycle count their bins upon doing so.
  • Backup and support other roles within department as required with duties including
  • Labeling and shelving newly received parts.
  • Picking and palletizing inventory orders.
  • Internal deliveries to various departments.
  • Adhere to good housekeeping standards by collecting skids, emptying garbage bins and sweeping floors as required.
  • Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

What You Will Bring

  • Woking knowledge of food and meat plant regulatory standards (CFIA, GMP, HACCP, BRC, food safety, food quality, etc.)
  • General computer skills (e.g. proficient in MS Office).
  • Ability to work / excel in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and effective multi-tasking is essential.
  • General knowledge of FIFO and 5S methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical parts or enrollment in a technical University program an asset.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and stacker – a forklift license is required
