As an Industrial Electrician on our team, your primary responsibilities will include examination, troubleshooting, replacement/repair of a wide variety of electrical and automation components. In addition, you will provide technical support to our production team during runtime hours to ensure optimal functionality of all production equipment within the facility. Utilizing our internal asset management system, your daily downtime routine will include preventative, corrective and facility maintenance. Additional tasks/duties maybe required to meet operational demands.
Job Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba
Wage: $46.02/hour (Ticketed) + $2.00/hour night shift premium (if applicable) and additional premium for PLC certifications
Shift: Night – Continental (12 hour shifts)

- Previous Food Manufacturing Experience – An Asset
- Mechanical or PLC Knowledge – An Asset
- Read equipment manuals and blueprints to successfully complete installations, troubleshooting and repairs
- Install, troubleshoot and maintain motors, motor control logic, photo eyes, automation field devices and pneumatic control systems
- General facility electrical system maintenance (120-600V Electrical Systems)
- Inspect and examine equipment to identify irregularities and malfunctions
- Adjust equipment and repair/replace defective components
- Proficient knowledge using tools such as Multi-meters and Insulation Testers to troubleshoot and identify electrical components in need of overhaul, maintenance or calibration
- Assemble equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to optimize equipment safety, efficiency and reliability
- Complete Work Orders according to PM and CM schedules
- Comply with all applicable legislative and Bakery food safety, health and safety and environmental policies and procedures
- Ensure that work area is clean of debris and hazards at all times
- Work in a safe manner in accordance with provincial and internal LOTO policy
- Perform other related duties as assigned or required
- Must possess a valid Red Seal Industrial Electrician ticket from a nationally accredited program.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a high speed manufacturing environment (Food manufacturing is highly preferred)
- High aptitude with Industrial Electrical systems (Required)
- Proven track record working with Multi-meters, Insulation Testers and Thermal Imaging equipment (Required)
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Excel, Outlook)
