We are looking for a leader ready to take the next step in their career with our amazing brand and winery at Peller Estates in NOTL. The Retail and Experience Team Leader will report to the Retail + Experience Manager and is required to work weekends, holidays and have open availability. This is a rare opportunity to work with amazing leadership at a fast-paced winery in beautiful Niagara on the Lake.

The Opportunity…

The Retail & Experience Supervisor supports the team in achieving established revenue and wine club targets relative to all retail, tour and experience operations on the property. In addition, this role ensures an extremely high-quality guest experience, that promotes brand image and meets/exceeds financial objectives. This role regularly serves as Manager on Duty, performing retail administrative tasks (including opening and closing the wine shop) and providing leadership and appropriate coaching to part time hospitality teammates.

Highlights of the job

  • Communicates regularly with Retail & Experience Manager about teammate performance.
  • Assists Retail & Experience Manager with the hiring process for new teammates.
  • Supports teammates on the service floor and sales counter.
  • Train retail and experience teammates in all wine products, accessory programs and retail experiences.
  • Lead retail experiences as needed and host VIPs.
  • Responsible for seasonal décor and supports with retail merchandising.
  • Take the lead on bookings for group experiences, greet all pre-booked groups and assign retail teammates as needed.
  • Financial and Inventory Management
  • Monitors stock levels of wine, accessories, packaging and general operation supplies for retail stores, flagging order needs to manager as needed.
  • Safety, Security and Cleanliness

Nice To Have

  • 1-2+ years retail supervisory experience preferably in a Hospitality/Tourism or luxury retail environment.
  • WSET or ISG/CAPS or CMS certification is an asset.
  • Technical savvy to use inventory system (Oracle), POS system, scheduling (like Dayforce).
  • Top caliber professional communication skills
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Outgoing, enthusiastic personality and desire to excel in service environment
