What You’ll Do: Your Impact Starts Here

As Internal Audit Manager, you'll take ownership of planning, executing, and reporting on operational and compliance audits, with a particular focus on testing and supporting Descartes’ Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Compliance Program. You’ll also contribute to internal reviews, consulting projects, and process improvement initiatives.

  • Lead and manage SOX 404 compliance testing—gathering data, assessing control effectiveness, and identifying gaps or weaknesses.
  • Perform operational and other special / ad-hoc audits, offering practical and business-minded recommendations.
  • Use data analytics to improve audit efficiency, coverage, and insights.
  • Develop clear, concise, and well-structured audit reports and working papers.
  • Support ongoing initiatives to improve internal controls, governance, and scalability.
  • Assist in evaluating enterprise risk and provide guidance on internal control enhancements.
  • Partner with stakeholders at all levels to close process gaps and drive scalable improvements.

What You Bring

  • University degree in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, or related field
  • CPA or CA designation
  • 3–5 years of experience in internal/external audit or related finance/accounting roles
  • Strong knowledge of SOX, internal control frameworks, and risk management practices
  • Sharp analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP is an asset
  • Experience using or interest in data analytics

Base Salary Range: $75,000–$85,000 CAD-Compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills as well as the years of experience you have. Similar positions located in different geographic regions will not necessarily receive the same compensation.
