The available positions can be based out of our offices in Mississauga.

These positions are for student co-ops. Functionally reporting to the engineering division, the students will be assigned to support various engineering projects as well as support engineering functional and project management on as needed basis. This role will provide the students with learning opportunities on technical, engineering interfaces and management aspects in the nuclear industry through training, mentoring and on-the-job experience. All duties will be carried out under close supervision of a Senior Engineer or Technical Lead.

How will you contribute to the team?

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, project management, and field teams) to support project execution, system improvements, and coordination of deliverables.
  • Assist in the development and assembly of engineering instrumentation and control or process documentation, including design descriptions, diagrams, and requirements tracking databases.
  • Support modernization initiatives by developing control panel layouts and researching new instrumentation technologies for control room upgrades and health monitoring.
  • Contribute to safety assessments, quality assurance, environmental compliance, and adherence to project and regulatory standards.
  • Manage assigned tasks effectively, including data collection, reporting, document reviews, and tracking project deliverables using spreadsheets and internal tools.
  • Participate in technical meetings, facilitate workflow coordination (e.g., RFIs, document control), and promote a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Strong foundation in engineering and mathematical principles, with the ability to apply them to practical solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with analytical tools like MATLAB or MathCAD is an asset.
  • Experience or knowledge of the nuclear industry is considered an advantage.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and multitasking abilities, with strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Adaptable and collaborative team player who thrives in dynamic environments.
  • Currently enrolled in an Engineering or equivalent program with an accredited Canadian University
  • Travel to domestic client sites may be required.
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance is mandatory.
